Professional Medical Corporations
There are conditions and requirements placed on Professional Medical Corporations under the Medical Act, 2011 and the Corporations Act, Newfoundland and Labrador. The College recommends that physicians review this information provided prior to incorporating.
Under a Professional Medical Corporation, physicians have the same legal and ethical responsibilities to their patients as they have as individual physicians.
Important:
A physician cannot provide their services through a medical corporation unless it is a Professional Medical Corporation (PMC) registered and licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
